Grin-lens are specifically
designed for fiber optics applications, also named as graduated refractive
index rod lens. That means different layer in the rod lens has different refractive
index. It can can collimate, focus and form a image on the physical surface
of a lens. Grin-lens is widely used in many passive components( collimaor,
coupler, isolator, circulator, WDM and etc).
